Reporting to the Sr. Director, Procurement Strategy and Loblaw International, this role will lead a team of two. Acting as the data and analytics subject matter expert supporting our Procurement category teams in securing the best cost for the enterprise. This involves establishing cost benchmarks, working alongside a 3rd party in developing a new RFQ module, as well as developing best in class data process for enhanced data integrity and analytical methodologies. Where necessary, this role will lead the planning and coordination of major enterprise programs and supporting the development of strategic planning decks/memos/documents for the department overall.

Key Accountabilities:
 

Enhancing the Procurement Toolkit

  • Successful rollout and delivery of the new RFQ platform for Fresh Procurement team and suppliers 
  • Develop and automate reporting related to procurement programs and post-mortem impact
  • Implement cost gap analysis and benchmarking
  • Explore and implement Power BI/ Microstrategy enhanced visualizations or reporting tools
  • GFR Program Governance

Reinforce the Foundation of Procurement Data

  • Ensure core data reports are published accurately and on time 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Procurement data logic for supplier classification, country of origin, and direct vs indirect purchases

Developing and Enabling Procurement Strategy/Programs

  • Support the development of Procurement Category Reviews
  • Strategic Project Support for major enterprise scale programs
  • C-Suite, SVP, and VP presentation support (quarterly COO and as required)
  • 3 Year Planning coordination for total BEEP
  • Content Planning and preparation for townhalls, supplier summit, and leadership offsites

Role Requirements:

  • Critical Requirement: PowerPoint and Excel competencies need to be advanced
  • Have proven success in leading a data/analytics or strategic projects role 
  • Demonstrates a passion for going above and beyond 
  • Ability to influence internal/external stakeholders 
  • Understand the necessity to be flexible and open minded in the tasks the team takes on
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and comprehension) and presentation skills
