Responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement strategies defined by the Commodity / Lead Buyer.
  • Create and trigger purchase orders based on SAP info records.
  • Monitor and follow up on purchase orders until goods receipt, including supplier dunning when necessary.
  • Verify and process order confirmations (quantities and delivery dates); collaborate with the Commodity Buyer for PO adjustments when pricing or conditions are incorrect.
  • Review and validate invoices, especially in case of quantity variances; escalate cost or condition discrepancies to the Commodity Buyer.
  • Ensure compliance with internal (EB) requirements, maintaining On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets and optimal stock levels.
  • Manage and track quality notifications (Q-notifications), coordinating internally with Quality Assurance and externally with suppliers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Production Planning (internally) and suppliers (externally) regarding delivery and quality deviations.
  • Serve as first-level contact for supplier escalations and interface with the Commodity Buyer for resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in direct materials purchasing.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA – MM module) or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain flows, and supplier management.
  • Advanced English skills (mandatory); German language is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving OTD (On-Time Delivery) targets.
