Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

This role demands deep technical expertise in VMware technologies, strong communication skills for client-facing engagements, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 rotational support model while mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional teams. ________________________________________ Must Have Skills: • VMware vSphere Suite (vCenter, ESXi, DRS, HA) • VMware Aria Suite (vRealize Automation, Operations, Log Insight) • VMware vSAN and Live Recovery • Disaster Recovery Planning & Execution • Enterprise Hardware Management: Cisco UCS, Dell EMC, HPE ProLiant ________________________________________ Good to Have Skills: • VMware NSX-T (Network Virtualization) • VMware Cloud Foundation / HCX • Performance Tuning & Capacity Planning • Patch Management & Compliance • RCA Documentation, SOPs, and KB Articles • ITIL Process Awareness (Incident, Change, Problem Management) • VMware Certifications (VCP, VCAP preferred) ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Lead infrastructure builds and transformation efforts across Virtualization Environments for client datacenters. • Design and deploy VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Aria Suite components as part of new implementations or migration projects. • Build and configure enterprise-grade hardware platforms (Dell VxRail & vSAN Ready Nodes, Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant). • Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and validation of infrastructure readiness. • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, and RCA reports. • Ensure adherence to security baselines, audit standards, and DR frameworks. • Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes in line with ITIL best practices. • Collaborate with architects, network, and storage teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration. • Support project governance, milestone tracking, and quality assurance during build phases. • Provide technical mentorship to engineers and support the transition-to-operations phase post-deployment, with a focus on cross-skilling across other technologies such as DevOps and SRE. • Participate in 24×7 rotational support, ensuring timely escalation and issue resolution. ________________________________________ Professional & Technical Skills: • Strong troubleshooting skills across VMware stack. • Proven experience in infrastructure build lifecycle: design ? deploy ? validate ? handover. • Excellent verbal and written communication for client-facing interactions. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and interface with stakeholders. • Strong ownership mindset with flexibility to operate in high-pressure environments.
