We are seeking people who:
Experience in implementation of data platforms at Enterprise level
Demonstrate confidence in leading and guiding in building group data products from scratch
Engineering leadership capability for the platform including software, systems, quality and site reliability.
Remain hands on, and take the lead on the largest and most complex engineering challenges
Ensure there is open communication and collaboration across engineering teams
Set the standard for high quality code reviews
Drive continuous Improvement across the platform, including reducing build time, increasing deployment frequency, and improving resilience
Tech skills:
We use a broad range of innovative tools, scalable platforms and process frameworks as a technology driven banking organization. We do not expect you to know them all but proven experience in Data Delivery and understanding of platforms will set you up for success in this role.
People management with previous experience in playing leadership roles within a data engineering chapter coupled with ability to provide AI thought leadership.
Expertise in leading and driving team of engineers that work with Amazon Redshift, Apache Iceberg, Hadoop, AWS, Abinitio and Snowflake will be highly desirable.

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but having significant experience and exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
Proven experience as a Software Engineering leader.
Expert-level in AWS technologies: Iceberg, Redshift, TypeScript and Aurora
Experience building public APIs that support mission critical applications
Experience building secure, scalable and highly available cloud-native applications.
Ability to contribute to strategy and architecture and translate this into pragmatic engineering design decisions.
Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer science or similar experience
