We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest, Cast & Operations experience for all technology & digitally led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business, as well as other initiatives such as Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Data Products & Platforms organization within Disney Experiences, and as a Manager, Data Product Management you will report into the Director who is responsible for Cast and Operations data.

Are you ready to steer the course of Cast & Operations data assets into the future? We are searching for an innovative leader who is passionate about delivering data initiatives within a new data platform. As the Manager of Data Product Management, you will provide oversight to the harmonization of the Cast & Operations data area, including its domains and assets, elevating them to the next level. In this role, you'll be instrumental in forging partnerships across the organization, including source producers, business data partners, and data architects. Your leadership will ensure our data is not only trusted and of high quality but also consistently meets our business goals. You will lead a team of Data Product Managers, guiding them to unlock the full potential of data in our platform, catering to a diverse range of use cases with expertise and innovation.

You Will:

  • Drive the evolution and delivery of data assets, setting the direction for source ingestion and representation of owned data domains.

  • Define prioritization strategy to influence the focus of engineering and architecture.

  • Partner to ensure Cast & Operations data is integrated into the platform's operational layer, including identity resolution and insight processing.

  • Align teams on the definition of 'done' to enable the data liquidity of a source of data, encompassing reusability, documentation, and metadata capture

  • Craft and implement a data monitoring and measurement strategy to accurately represent the quality state of data.

  • Partner with different organizational teams, including peer data product teams, to establish standards for the data product management community of practice.

  • Track asset usage to proactively find opportunities for data improvements to drive business value.

  • Build a supportive and encouraging work culture in your team, fostering passion and expertise in interpreting data for a variety of applications.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience, primarily in roles involving data engagement, from interpreting data to its accurate use for business purposes.

  • Proven history of managing direct reports, primarily leading teams dedicated to the use and implementation of data solutions.

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with an ability to critically analyze and align teams on a path forward independently.

  • Ability to easily navigate ambiguous situations and work independently in guiding the development and creation of data domain strategies and roadmaps.

  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, capable of interfacing and influencing across the segment and company, including high-level executives.

  • Strong project leadership skills, able to manage the creation of sprint plans across multiple initiatives and studios.

  • Experience working in the hospitality, travel, or entertainment industry.

  • Proven understanding and advocacy of agile development approaches.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $164,492 to $220,660 per year and in Seattle, WA is $172,282 to $231,110 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
