ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

  • Summarizing, analyzing, and reporting on distribution planning indicators, as well as other relevant reports.
  • Track supply, terminal, and carrier constraints and communicate operational risks in a timely manner.
  • Execute arbitrage and optimization activities in alignment with approved supply strategies.
  • Ensure implementation of logistics strategies in accordance with market dynamics and ensure achievement of annual business goals and plans.
  • Ensure efficient, accurate, and cost-effective fuel distribution planning while supporting transportation cost reduction initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders in accordance with Circle K ethics and HSSE policies while developing a strong understanding of products, services, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to deliver a high standard of customer service, promptly resolve customer concerns, and proactively identify opportunities to improve operational performance and business results.
  • Maintain close relations with external shareholders to gain an understanding of products and services;
  • Ensure a good routine of registration and retention of information relevant to the execution of duties.
  • Provides day-to-day directions to our motor fuel common carriers to ensure compliance with Circle K SOP, lifting instructions, load shifting, and inventory levels.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements by assisting common carriers during fuel conversion seasons
  • Monitor store-level inventories and work with motor fuel common carriers to prevent runouts
    • Review fuel dispatch system to ensure proper setup parameters, sales trends, supply sources, and tank configurations
    • Provides after-hours coverage for emergencies that are not resolved by support team members
    • Works as liaison between carrier, supply, and accounting departments to resolve any questions/issues
    • Primarily office-based role but will visit truck operations from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Degrees in Supply Chain and Logistics, Engineering (Industrial), or Economics/Finance preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in a transportation dispatch department and/or in the petroleum trucking industry
  • Fluent in English.
  • Computer literate in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience working with TMW Fuel dispatch software, Telepoint Fuel Dispatch Software or similar applications
  • Experience with supplier and project management
  • Basic knowledge of dangerous goods transportation and relevant legislation.
  • Basic knowledge of the fuel supply chain.
