As Senior Technology Product Owner for Data Catalog, Quality, Lineage, Master Data Management (MDM), and Reference Data Management (RDM) Tools, you will lead the strategy, enablement, and adoption of enterprise data management platforms that make data discoverable, reliable, mastered, and traceable across the organization. This central role is responsible for creating alignment with business units and functions globally, promoting an integrated approach to data management and governance at scale. You will ensure these tools are integrated, secure, and deliver measurable business impact in support of the company’s data strategy and domain activation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Platform Ownership: Serve as technical product owner for enterprise data catalog, data quality, data lineage, MDM, and RDM tools; align strategy with CDO, CTO, and global business priorities.

  • Tooling Enablement & Integration: Lead rationalization, selection, configuration, and rollout of best-in-class catalog, quality, lineage, MDM, and RDM tools; ensure seamless integration with cloud-native data, AI, and ML platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and interoperability across business domains.

  • Data Catalog Platform: Design the "Global Catalog" architecture that synchronizes metadata from multiple autonomous domain catalogs into a central catalog; rationalize and oversee enablement and integration of catalogs for comprehensive discoverability of trusted sources of data across domains.

  • Data Quality & Governance Frameworks: Build and operationalize enterprise-wide data quality management framework; automate rule enforcement and enable monitoring for prioritized datasets.

  • Master & Reference Data Management: Scale MDM/RDM tools across domains; enable APIs for mastered data; empower business units to implement MDM use cases within enterprise standards.

  • Data Lineage & Traceability: Oversee enablement and integration of lineage tools for comprehensive traceability of data flows and transformations for cross-platform data discovery and end-to-end data lineage tracking to provide visibility into data provenance and impact analysis.

  • Domain Activation Alignment: Partner with domain teams to enable activation lifecycle (definition, development, deployment, and BAU operations); ensure sequencing and prioritization based on dependencies and readiness.

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage vendor relationships, evaluate new solutions, and ensure alignment with architecture, cost, and support requirements.

  • Change Management & Adoption: Develop adoption plans, training, and communities of practice to drive literacy and sustained use of all data management tools.

  • Metrics, Value Realization & Compliance: Define KPIs for adoption, domain activation progress, and impact; embed security, privacy, and compliance requirements into all tooling decisions and operations.

  • Continuous Improvement & BAU Oversight: Oversee ongoing operations, decommission legacy assets, and drive continuous improvement across platforms and domains.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise data management, governance, and data management platform leadership roles.

  • Proven success as a senior product owner managing data catalog, data quality, lineage, MDM, and RDM platforms.

  • Deep expertise with tools such as Informatica IDMC, Ataccama, Alation, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, AWS Glue, etc.

  • Experience integrating data tooling with public cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).

  • Demonstrated success driving adoption and change management in federated environments.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at executive and technical levels.

  • Familiarity with agile development, DevOps practices, and enterprise architecture governance.

  • Commitment to security, privacy, and compliance in all aspects of platform and tooling management.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strategic thinker with ability to influence enterprise-wide transformation.

  • Collaborative leader skilled at building consensus across business, technology, and vendor partners.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
