Content Strategist, Reuters Plus

Join our team! Reuters Plus is the in-house custom content studio of Reuters. We work with global brands to help them develop and distribute content solutions that meet their objectives whilst also resonating with Reuters’ influential decision-making audience.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Content Strategist, Reuters Plus you will:

  • Proactively manage the daily RFP process – generate creative, actionable and unique content ideas that show a clear understanding and in-depth knowledge of the client's business, sector, audience and marketing initiatives 
  • Lead creative brainstorm sessions with key internal stakeholders, ensuring that all ideas are documented and communicated in a timely manner to key team members
  • Concepts must be clearly articulated within compelling presentations or pilot videos/sizzle reels (when relevant) and designed to generate additional revenue for the company
  • Work with Reuters internal teams (editorial, product, sales) to ensure that all proposals are on brand, feasible and deliverable
  • Manage and track all RFPs/proposals/sales materials
  • Ensure that key stakeholders in the Reuters Plus department are updated and informed of progress, delivery of solutions and client feedback
  • Proactively learn about new product offerings and ensure that they are incorporated in client proposals when relevant
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Reuters Plus, Studios, marketing, product) to create new products, ideas and campaign concepts that the sales team can proactively pitch

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent writing skills a must 
  • Curiosity and interest in the world of business
  • Relevant experience in media, marketing, public relations or publishing (either marketing or editorial)
  • Content strategy or content marketing background within a media organization a plus
  • Understanding of the content production process
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional verbal and personal skills with the ability to be client facing
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in news, digital media, sales, marketing and emerging technologies
  • Creative thinker who relishes participation in marketing strategy and development.
