What are we looking for?

We're continuously expanding the capabilities of SentinelOne, actively listening to customers and responding to their needs. We're growing our R&D and our main product line, Endpoint Security, serving for protection of various devices across all kinds of OS (Windows, Linux, macOS), and looking for a new Staff Software Engineer, to lead and develop the SaaS platform part serving this product line.

• Your areas of focus would be primarily (but not limited to) developing crucial SaaS platform services.
• You’ll be also tasked with improving the scalability of our services, improving their performance and ensuring high-availability.
• You will be a stakeholder in the architecture, design, and implementation of a multidisciplinary cloud-native cybersecurity software platform that serves thousands of users from security teams at enterprise and government customers across the globe and protects tens of millions of endpoints and billions of events every day.
• The software engineers on our team are independent. They lead the features end-to-end, come up with their own improvements in infrastructure and performance components, and have the space to promote their ideas, design, and implement them. They own very important flows at S1 and deal with extraordinary performance and optimization challenges, given the scale of our cybersecurity services.

Your main tools:  Golang (we're using for new development) and Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy, Marshmallow); AWS&GCP; PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka; Kubernetes, Docker; GitHub etc.

What skills and knowledge should you need to bring?

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Golang (Go) and/or Python
• Ability to quickly dive into new products and understand their inner workings
• Self-driven individual
• Experience with large-scale high-load distributed systems & performance
• Excellent communication skills - you will be regularly in touch with Product, Technical Account Managers (who provide feedback from clients) and other cross-functional teams

  It’d be great if you have:

• Recent professional and production experience working in Golang (Go)
• Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or other cloud platforms
• Experience in an enterprise SaaS company or cybersecurity SaaS company
