Our Newest Opportunity: 

The Complete Retirement Solution Business Development Executive drives business results by developing client relationships, understanding client needs and developing an appropriate client solution. The CRS Business Development Executive will serve as a resource for clients with their retirement service needs, focused on smaller companies’ plans (under $3,000,000 in assets or under 100 lives). The CRS BDE should be able to exhibit technical knowledge and competency in investment management, retirement and retirement plan participant education meetings. The CRS BDE will work with internal partners referrals as well as external sources. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Drive business results by developing, managing and expanding client relationships through referrals and new business development activities
  • Earn clients’ trust by thoroughly understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, developing thoughtful solutions and determining the appropriate solution for the client
  • Advise clients on all aspects of retirement services including: asset allocation, investment management and plan design and governance issues
  • Exhibit technical knowledge and competency in investment management, retirement, and overall wealth management
  • Explain the value proposition of retirement services to businesses, as well as our internal partners. Qualify potential business leads.  Close qualified business.
  • Develop leads through working with internal partners referrals, existing plan clients, networking and client referrals. Convert leads to retirement services clients.  Meet annual sales goals by advancing prospects through the opportunity pipeline to close business.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Management Team to understand the investment philosophy and ensure that clients are provided with the best investment solutions.
  • Support business development efforts which may include events, campaigns, prospect meetings and proposals
  • Work closely with Complete Retirement Solution Advisor to effectively and efficiently on board new clients
  • Embrace the OneDigital culture, especially in conjunction with our internal referral sources and within regional teams across all business lines

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with an ability to thrive in a team-based and collaborative environment
  • Dynamic and credible professional who communicates with clarity and has exceptional presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Nitro/Adobe and Salesforce
  • Demonstrated client focus, business development and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
  • Proven ability to build a multi-million dollar book of business with retirement services relationships
  • Excellent oral, written communication, organizational skills, negotiation, and time management skills

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or at least five years of retirement services experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in financial services industry
  • Professional designations: AIF, QKA, CIMA are desirable designations, but not required
  • Series 65 license is necessary or ability to earn this license within 90 days of employment

Other:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • Primarily sedentary work, ability to move about the office and present virtually
  • Hybrid (WFH and In Office) working environment, all virtual prospect contact

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year 

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.  We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs.
