The opportunity

Join our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Lodz and shape the future of energy. As an R&D Project Manager, you will lead cutting-edge medium voltage transformer and power converter technology projects in a dynamic, international environment.

You’ll be part of a collaborative global team, playing a key leading role to the full R&D lifecycle, ensuring that innovative projects are executed and delivered to the rest of our organization as products. In this role your strong technical, collaboration and communication skills will come to hand and offer you the chance to make a real impact in the energy transition.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead cross-functional project teams in close collaboration with the responsible line management

  • Drive development of multiple product roadmap items with R&D technical team and all cross- functional stakeholders

  • Regular and comprehensive reporting about R&D projects and stakeholder management

  • Drive the implementation of the backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.

  • Responsible of scope definition, budget estimation and planning of the different R&D projects

  • Setup and manage partnerships with external development partners and production suppliers

  • Collect and clarify requirements and drive prioritization with multiple stakeholders

  • Responsible of risk and opportunity management and change control within the projects

  • Support the roll-out of releases to supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing, and ensure smooth handover to the operational organization

  • Support the R&D organization in continuously improving the processes and ways of working

Your background

  • Diploma/Master/PhD in electrical engineering or related discipline

  • Technical project management experience including full lifecycle developments; all aspects from initial research & development, specifications development, concept development, design, testing & validation, qualification, and industrialization

  • Experience in product development and project management in a multisite and global team environment

  • PMP certification or similar is an advantage

  • Strong team and leadership skills

  • Pro-active, creative and problem solving person

  • Work very well independently and have a strong self-motivation

  • Fluent in English
