Position Purpose:
Provides leadership, strategic direction and oversight of the clinical account managers in the Pharmacy Benefit Management team. Collaborate with internal clinical operations and formulary teams to develop and execute best practices between the teams, promote clinical trend management programs for development and deployment for all PBM clients (Medicaid and Commercial), promote specialty pharmacy trend management solutions to the Clinical Account Management teams, and develop and deploy on-going clinical training curriculum.

This is a 100% remote position, candidate must reside in CST or EST.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and oversee all clinical program implementations, client relationship management, Quarterly Business Reviews and client strategies.
  • Develop skills and capabilities of Clinical Account Managers including analytical problem solving, client relationship management, clinical program implementation excellence, clinical trend management, formulary and rebate management.
  • Develops tools and processes to enhance the clinical program management and relationship management capabilities of the Clinical Account Management team.
  • This is includes clinical reporting, specialty trend management formulary maintenance, and rebate management.
  • Oversee escalated client issues unresolved by the Clinical Account Managers and follow-up with appropriate solutions.
  • Review and provide feedback on Request for Proposal responses related to clinical programs, clinical trend management, clinical account management and long term clinical strategy management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.


Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration. PharmD or MBA is preferred.

4+ years of PBM Account Management or clinical management including managing teams of clinicians, preferably pharmacists.

PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, Health Plan, Managed Care, and Managed Medicaid experience preferred.

Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.

Strong understanding of clinical analytics, formulary rebate, and formulary maintenance preferred.

License/Certification: Current state’s Pharmacist license with no restrictions preferred.

This is a 100% remote position, candidate must reside in CST or EST.

Pay Range: $107,700.00 - $199,300.00 per year
