The Senior Architect is a high-impact technical leader and a trusted advisor responsible for bridging the gap between complex business challenges and innovative technology solutions. Operating at the intersection of customer success, sales, and delivery, this role involves designing high-level architectures for multi-faceted environments while guiding customers through the cultural and operational shifts necessary for digital transformation. You will act as a bridge between the customer and Red Hat’s product teams, ensuring that project delivery is not only technically sound but also strategically aligned with long-term business goals. Through mentorship and thought leadership, you will foster a collaborative environment that accelerates the professional growth of your peers and ensures the sustainable success of global initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Success & Delivery
High-Level Design: Create comprehensive architectural blueprints for complex customer environments, ensuring all solutions are scalable and integrated.
Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to customer leadership, guiding them on people, process, and operational changes required for optimal solution adoption.
Risk & Escalation Management: Proactively handle project risks and support escalations with professional ease, ensuring project continuity and customer satisfaction.
Pre-Sales & Business Development
Technical Scoping: Lead the technical portions of scoping activities and discovery sessions for complex projects, even in areas outside your primary expertise.
Market Positioning: Differentiate Red Hat’s value proposition against industry competitors and identify new opportunities within existing accounts to expand the technical footprint.
Team Leadership & Communication
Visionary Leadership: Provide the architectural vision that shapes the long-term direction of projects while breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks for delivery teams.
Stakeholder Communication: Confidently articulate technical architecture and project progress to both technical teams and non-technical senior management.
Talent Development: Actively create leadership opportunities for other associates and provide consistent, actionable feedback on performance to foster team growth.
Professional Relationships & Giveback
Strategic Networking: Maintain a strong network across Red Hat departments (Sales, Engineering, Training) and the external partner ecosystem.
Community Contribution: Act as a key contributor to regional "giveback" initiatives and actively participate in open-source communities.
Mentorship: Dedicate time to mentoring associates up to the Senior Architect level, identifying high-potential talent for future management.
Technical Excellence & Learning
Domain Expertise: Maintain expert-level knowledge of at least one Red Hat product and advanced proficiency across the broader product portfolio and its integrations.
Continuous Growth: Embrace a growth mindset by staying updated on product roadmaps, upstream projects, and wider IT industry trends.
Validation & Prototyping: Rapidly develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate proposed designs and uncover customer needs before they become obstacles.
Requirements:
10–15+ years in IT consulting, systems architecture, or enterprise engineering.
At least 5+ years acting as a Lead Architect or Principal Consultant, specifically managing solution-level designs to CxO level
5–7 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat technologies (or equivalent enterprise open-source stacks) in production-grade environments.
Must hold multiple industry-recognized certifications within your primary area of expertise; Red Hat certifications are highly preferred (e.g., RHCA).
Proven expertise in at least one core Red Hat product (e.g., OpenShift, Ansible, RHEL) and advanced knowledge of the broader Red Hat portfolio and its integration with industry-standard vendor products.
Extensive experience in creating High Level Designs (HLD) and leading complex, multi-technology solution implementations for enterprise-level environments.
Thorough experience selling services strategies and developing proposals, contracts, close plans, and statements of work for professional services
Demonstrated ability to lead project delivery methodologies and handle high-pressure escalations or risk management scenarios with professional flexibility.
Must demonstrate excellence in authoring and overseeing comprehensive consulting engagement documentation. This includes ensuring that all architectural designs, implementation guides, and post-deployment reports meet Red Hat’s quality standards and are accessible to both technical teams and customer stakeholders.
Ability to maintain a consistent utilization target and adhere to corporate time, travel, and expense policies.
