The role of Senior Logistics Analyst assures the operational delivery performance out of a S+N third-party Logistics provider. Liaising with internal and external customer contacts, finished goods supplier’s and freight forwarders globally to achieve and exceed Global Supply Chain service to customer. The job holder drives continuous improvements in line with S+N and the third-party logistics provider.

What will you be doing?

> (30%) > Process supervision and optimization to ensure compliant operation

o Create and maintain QMS procedures and ensure they are implemented and executed at the 3PL

o Highlight any need for corrective and preventative action to S+N, suppliers and customers.

o Support Destination Labeling in line with newly setup MDR process requirements

o Execute any on site support activities from needed from S+N side

> (20%) > Project management support and execution

o Supporting global, regional or local logistics and IT projects

o Manage 3PL related projects independently

o Continues improvement activities on systems and processes

> (20%) Managing the system interface between the 3PL and S+N

o Tracking of stock reconciliation between the S+N and third party logistics provider and their warehouse management systems.

o Resolve IDOC errors to keep the interfaces clean and the systems aligned

o Investigate with 3rd party logistics provider’s and put in corrective action to ensure stock transactions are executed correctly and good inventory integrity exists.

> (20%) Stakeholder management for all logistics belonging with the 3PL

o Act as a key contact in the day to day interaction between Smith and Nephew departments and our 3PL

o Investigating special requirements and support the business partners in finding most effective solution

> (10%) Managing the daily business logistics and relation with the 3PL

o Ensure transparent logistics operation, by executing operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current

o Oversee operational performance of the 3PL with effective KPI’s

o Attending daily calls and monthly as well as quarterly 3PL Business Review Meetings

o Follow up and investigate customer complaints

o Managing rework orders and oversee return management

o Actively balance the trade off between cost and service, e.g. freight costs, 3PL charges.

o Managing Period- and Quarter End’s

What will you need to be successful?

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management or relevant Logistics industry experience
• Experience in working in a regulated environment (preferably in the Medical Device industry) is a plus

• In-depth knowledge of office software i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook

• In-depth knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems using interface technology is a major plus

• Fluency in English language
