Cloud Software Group is seeking an analyst relations practitioner with an understanding of the industry analyst landscape. The Analyst Relations Manager will be responsible for handling analyst relations for our Tibco, Spotfire and ibi business units, along with their related products and services and provide strategic counsel on AR best practices. In addition to these responsibilities, all work and information on respective analyst relations projects will be shared at the team level to ensure other team members can back up one another to maintain a high level of service in the event of life interruptions that can include travel, illness, PTO, and unforeseen emergencies.
Responsibilities
Work with the analyst relations team to nurture, and manage positive relationships with industry analysts, specifically those analysts at Gartner, IDC, and Forrester.
Assist with determining Gartner seat allocations among the Tibco, Spotfire and ibi product management and product marketing teams at the business unit level.
Foster and manage relationships with all Gartner, IDC and Forrester analysts who cover Tibco, Spotfire and ibi relevant markets and technologies to ensure inclusion in relevant reports and solicit analyst views, including positive and negative perceptions of products and services within our portfolio.
Manage all direct engagement with tier 1 and tier 2 analysts, including
Briefings, including product/service updates, product service launches, strategic partnerships, etc.
Inquiries, including feedback on briefings, document reviews and other inquiries related to soliciting customer views on products and services within all business unit portfolios. AR will capture that feedback to ensure it is factored into product roadmaps, product marketing strategies and customer communications.
Alerts regarding major corporate and BU news that is relevant to the respective analysts.
Allocate, schedule, and manage all Gartner Strategic Advisory Services (SAS) sessions, and analyst advisory days, working with Tibco, Spotfire and ibi product management and product marketing leadership to determine session objectives, session agendas, and the execution during the session. AR will also take notes, collect feedback, and manage follow-up from all sessions, based on deliverables determined during each session.
Identify and project manage tier one market evaluations relevant to BU products and services, including Gartner Magic Quadrants, IDC MarketScapes, and Forrester Waves.
Identify and track planned research reports and market evaluations from tier 1 analysts and research firms.
Serve as the primary liaison for disagreements with analyst reports and market evaluations to ensure established dispute protocols are followed and all feedback to the analyst is backed by objective data.
Inform and educate product management and product marketing executives about report processes, analyst communications strategies and the difference between productive analyst engagement and engagement that is unproductive and potentially damaging to the BU and the overall corporation.
Obtain requested reports in compliance with licensing requirements to provide corporate and BU executives with appropriate data while complying with licensing restrictions.
Coordinate with corporate finance to provide guidance to analysts preparing data for market share reports to promote accuracy in the reports without violating corporate confidentiality or sharing privileged information.
Serve as a liaison between corporate content management and BU product management and product marketing to license analyst reports and market evaluations for posting to the corporate and BU websites, and distribution to partners and customers on an as-needed basis.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business-to-business analyst relations for a large IT or software vendor with greater than $1 billion in revenues
Ability to execute and run analyst relations programs
Experience influencing key decision-makers and analysts' research agenda
Experience collaborating cross-functionally and across global geographies with remote colleagues and partners, and a commitment to responsiveness within a reasonable timeframe (<12hrs) for global colleagues
Great communication skills
A proven ability to prioritize and manage high impact projects and juggle urgent inbound requests.
