Due to an internal promotion, Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases are recruiting for an EMEA Field Training Manager to join the team.  

The role is field based preferably in the UK, but we welcome applications from candidates based in Germany as well. Travelling 60-70% across EMEA region is also anticipated.


 

What You’ll Do

As the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) Field Training Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for Abbott Rapid Diagnostics healthcare professionals in the Infectious Disease (ID) Rapid Diagnostics sector.

As the EMEA Field Training Manager you will ensure that all field staff are proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, execution for training plans and technologies and are up to date with industry standards and best practices.

The EMEA Field Training Manager will be responsible for ensuring the education and preparation of our teams, including but not limited to Sales Representatives, Sales Managers, Technical Teams, Key Account Managers, and priority positions in other commercial functions. You will work in coordination with the Director Commercial Training EMEA as well as other colleagues to effectively coordinate and deliver content in training sessions.

  • Support new hires and other customer facing internal Abbott colleagues across EMEA region
  • Conduct in-field training sessions, work with regional field coaches
  • Assist in the developing, writing, and executing aligned company-specific education programs and training materials
  • Implement professional instructional design & education methodology (content and resources) in line with business complexity
  • Create training schedules, learning tracks and report metrics
  • Work with the Director Commercial Training to identify unmet training needs and help create curriculum to facilitate the necessary training
  • Manage content in the learning management system, Allego
  • Monitor performance indicators to ensure the ROI of the training programs

Required Qualifications/ Personal Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or relevant filed
  • Previous experience in Medical, Diagnostics Sales or another related field
  • Demonstrated Sales, Training, or Coaching experience required
  • Delivering effective virtual and in-person training
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize internal resources, effectively plan and work within their national territory
  • Ability to use creativity to maintain excitement and engagement around training classes/Teams meetings
  • Required to obtain certification on at least one selling and coaching methodology, Core selling, Strategic Selling, SPIN Selling or Conceptual Selling

We are looking for an ambitious, organized and highly efficient expert with medical devices and/or successful diagnostic sales and training experience. Familiarity with point of care medical sales would be preferable.
