Apollo is seeking an Associate Director to assist with Executive Decision Support analytics for the Credit business.  This role will support all activities associated with business analytics, planning, performance monitoring and reporting of the Credit Business, both in aggregate as well as for specific Credit products.

This role will dually report to the Credit Business Management CFO in New York and the Fund Finance lead in Mumbai.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Closely monitor fund level activity (e.g. capital formation, origination and deployment) against expectations, with deep understanding of business drivers and financial implications.

  • Act as key contributor towards monthly forecasts, multi-year planning processes and other recurring deliverables focused on the full economic profile of the Credit business.

  • Work closely with fund controllers, Strategic Finance, and members of the Credit COO team to develop actionable insights for Credit leadership as well as drive strategic initiatives for the business.

  • Develop monthly senior management reporting packs and tailored analytics to highlight key decision areas for business leaders.

  • Ensure expense vigilance across the Credit franchise, with early indicators of expense drivers, close monitoring of variance against expectations and proactive management of risks and opportunities.

  • Provide transparency around profitability drivers and formulate recommendations that can support revenue enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services / investment management / accounting or related field

  • Excellent quantitative analytical and modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Access, Macros, Power Point

  • Highly organized, keen attention to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple processes simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various internal and external constituents

  • Embraces a culture centered on teamwork and is flexible with job responsibilities.

  • Strong judgment needed to: i) foresee potential risks and roadblocks to task completion; and ii) identify effective solutions.

  • Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment.
