SUMMARY
Q2 is seeking a Senior Marketing Project Manager to lead complex, cross-team projects within Marketing and between Marketing and other stakeholders. The role includes both managing high-priority projects led by a variety of project owners and owning and driving projects focused on internal process improvement. Experience driving process excellence projects is a plus. This person plays a leadership role in helping the Marketing Operations team drive overall efficiency and effectiveness, enabling the organization to scale with continued growth through both best-in-class project management and process excellence improvements. They are also responsible for working with other project managers on the team to enhance project management best practices and assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and coordinate high value Marketing-led projects such as CONNECT, our annual client conference, including project plans and charters, status tracking, dashboards and timelines.
• Lead process excellence projects that will have an impact on how marketing operates internally and with other stakeholders.
• Work with project owners to ensure that projects are completed effectively leveraging project management best practices.
• Drive process excellence best practices including process documentation and diagraming, process optimization, training and automation.
• Evaluate and optimize tooling and approaches to drive improved efficiency and automation.
• Interview and interact with stakeholders to understand existing processes, requirements, problems, and alternatives
• Engage affected teams to ensure that they are part of the solution
• Drive a data-based approach to evaluate operational improvements including baselining and monitoring.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Program Management, or Communications with a minimum of 8 years of experience in project management; or advanced degree with 6+ years of project management experience
• Strong project management, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, and oral / written communication skills
• Process optimization or process excellence experience a strong plus but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to analyze business and operations processes and to synthesize that input into robust solutions.
• Redesign business processes to optimize efficiency, reduce complexity and minimize the effects of variation
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge and proficiency with core project management, process documentation and process automation software a plus
