Job description:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Medical Affairs will be responsible for providing scientific expertise and co-leadership while accountable for the execution of the range of Medical Affairs activities associated with their assigned products and therapy areas.

These include but not limited to insight seeking/scientific communication via peer-to-peer scientific exchange or in groups with KEEs.

This role in field based with adjustable development plan to be more involved in strategic planning of asset/medical plan.


This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to start/progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Individual to represent the med affairs function as part of the vaccine cross functional team, engaging key external and internal stakeholders
  • They will support implementation of local research strategies to address data gaps and advance the scientific/clinical understanding of GSK assets under the guidance of medical lead.
  • They will be accountable for leading external scientific/clinical exchange with the scientific and medical community and to bring the medical voice of the customer back into the organization (includes 1:1 interaction, advisory boards, medical education, congress presentations, publication and congress sponsorships).
  • The individual will be responsible scientific exchange, insight collection, execution together with therapeutic area lead on the asset responsible. The expectation of MSL is to be at peer to peer level of scientific dialogue with healthcare professional in the asset responsible.
  • Develop and implement EE (external experts) engagement plan, and maintain strong scientific relationship with EEs of strategic importance.
  • Recognize and capture medical insights or intelligence, feedback to medical and cross-functional organizations to be actioned in support of the strategy development.
