About This Opportunity 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the UQ Print office. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the role involves handling reception duties and offering general office assistance to the department. This position offers a great opportunity to start your administrative career at UQ, with training provided to the successful candidate. UQ Print delivers a range of services, including printing, custom merchandise and apparel, labels, event banners, signage, and other graphic-related products. UQ Print is seeking an individual who has an interest to learn in this industry.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • provide exceptional customer service (in person, e-mail and over the phone), addressing enquiries, taking orders and address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

  • undertake straightforward or routine administrative activities.

  • undertake basic electronic filing, mail coordination and other correspondence tasks.

  • assist with basic aspects of events and activities.

  • coordinate office maintenance, supplies and materials.

  • other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

About You

  • Experience in the printing industry or a strong interest in learning about the printing industry.

  • Completion of Year 12 without work experience, or completion of Certificates I or II in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience/training.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Customer/client service skills and telephone techniques.

  • Basic computer literacy skills and some experience using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Valid driver's licence.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia etc.
