Department Overview
In the Krakow PCR department we are developing and delivering software used for business and mission critical communications & workflows in MOTOTRBO systems and Safety Reimagined solutions. Our solutions are omnipresent in many verticals important in everyday life such as public safety, healthcare, transportation, logistics, education, hospitality, energy, manufacturing, retail and many others. Our teams are following industry-standard and modern software development practices like continuous integration/continuous deployment, DevOps, component- and system-level automated testing. We use agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to organize our work ranging from cross-functional teams to portfolio management.
The PCR Device Management team is accountable for the entire software development lifecycle (including: specification and design, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance) for a number of customer-facing products such as Radio Management, CPS 2.0 (Customer Programming Software), Radio Central Commercial Client and tools. They are used to configure, program and provide service, troubleshooting and diagnostics capabilities for the PCR devices and PCR infrastructure components.
Job Description
The PCR Device Management team is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner to lead strategy and portfolio planning for our products.
You will:
- Lead frontend activities for Devices, Infrastructure, and Device Management initiatives.
- Be responsible for building a roadmap for DM products.
- Define and prioritize the Product Backlog, ensuring it aligns with the overall product vision.
- Represent the team in communication with PdMs and architects.
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs are central to the development process.
- Manage trade-offs between scope, budget, and time, making difficult prioritization decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business, development, UX) to gather requirements and define user stories.
- Accept or reject completed work, ensuring it meets the definition of done and business goals.
- Have the opportunity to be a mentor for team members.
- Work in a collaboration-oriented organization focused on knowledge sharing.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position (Product Owner, Architect).
- Capability to challenge and drive strategic architecture decisions.
- Experience with cloud-deployed products.
- Strong prioritization and backlog management skills.
- Experience defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps.
- Ability to work closely with development teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Ability to solve problems and select the best approach for a given statement.
- Ability to understand complex systems.
- We expect result-orientation and the ability to execute assigned responsibilities and tasks with minimum supervision, following standard development life-cycle processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
