Summary

This is a hands-on technical Co-Op software engineering position on the Technical Program Support

team. The successful candidate will support integration and configuration of computational system

architecture and system software for real-time simulation applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Windows System Administration

  • Development of Automated system deployment capabilities

  • Infrastructure setup and maintenance

  • Supports and monitors infrastructure hardware systems, operating systems and infrastructure

    applications to ensure reliability and availability of infrastructure services

  • Contributes and makes recommendations on the lifecycle of Infrastructure technologies

  • Answers technical questions

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain one required to start )

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program

    majoring in an Engineering discipline, preferably Software Engineering or Computer Science

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications

  • Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Must be customer service-oriented

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

  • Windows Server System setup and administration

  • Experience with Domain Controller setup and creation, management, update, and deployment of

    Group Policy Objects

  • Prefer 1+ years experience using Linux development environment

  • Good communications skills

  • Configure operating system on Linux and Windows machines

  • Configure, manage, and monitor storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS etc).

  • Knowledge of, or willing to learn virtualization solutions (VMware, KVM)

  • Knowledge of, or willing to learn configuring Cisco and/or HP Networking.

  • Security+ certification is desi

    rable.

Security Responsibilities

Must comply□with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.□

Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any

form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a

need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.□ All

government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company

provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office

equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to maneuver body in/out of cockpits that contain sensitive

equipment.
