The overall responsibilities of this position are to assist in the day-to-day procedures that can assist Mortgage
Loan Originators (MLO) to conduct their jobs most efficiently. This position reports directly to the assigned MLO
and may also be required to report to the Branch Manager. The Licensed Assistant is responsible for providing
ongoing and consistent support to the sales process as well as excellent communication with internal and
external customers. Some specific tasks of this position are to:
Responsibilities and Duties
o Pull daily pipeline reports.
o Communicate with consumers after they are approved.
o Conduct timely document collection and review.
o Order out once file has been turned in to underwriting.
o Validate program guidelines and match to all client files.
o Assist with marketing activities (mailers, events, etc.).
o Database management for both consumers and agents
o Communicate effectively with Mortgage Loan Originators and other staff as needed on a timely basis.
o Follow Silverton's Safeguard Governance Policy to protect customer non-public personal information.
o Adhere to Silverton’s code of zero tolerance for fraud and 100% compliance with the rules and
regulators of our industry.
o Adhere to Company’s AML program and procedures where indicated.
Education, Knoweldge and Experience
o Required: Fully licensed MLO in good standing
o Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
o Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the mortgage Industry
o Understanding of mortgage industry guidelines and regulations
o Working Knowledge of all residential mortgage types offered by Silverton (Fannie, Freddie, FHA, USDA,
VA, Renovation and Construction)
Skills
o Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
o Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent time management, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Technology Skills
o Proficient in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Internet Explorer; WebEx; Microsoft
Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
o Proficient in Open/Close LOS or similar
o Familiarity with AUD (LP, DU, GUS, etc.)
