Position Summary...

As a Program Manager, Internal Talent Mobility, you will play a key supporting role in driving forward innovative talent initiatives that help frontline Walmart and Sam’s Club associates grow their careers into high-demand, early-career roles. You’ll work closely with a Senior Manager and cross-functional partners to coordinate project work, track deliverables, and help implement new mobility programs that expand opportunity and improve talent flows across the business.

What you'll do...

  • Program Execution: Assist in the coordination and delivery of internal talent mobility initiatives, focusing on frontline associate transitions into early-career and in-demand roles.

  • Project Coordination: Help build and manage project plans, timelines, meeting cadences, and shared documentation to ensure clarity on goals and deliverables.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work across People, L&D, Ops, and Tech teams to keep initiatives moving forward and aligned with broader talent priorities.

  • Communications: Draft communications and updates for internal stakeholders and collaborate on the creation of materials like stakeholder updates, roadmaps, and program toolkits.

  • Tracking & Reporting: Help monitor key milestones, track success metrics, and consolidate feedback using dashboards or project tracking tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Trello, etc.).

  • Innovation: Support the development of new pilot programs or enhancements to existing talent programs, bringing a solution-oriented mindset to ambiguous challenges.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, talent programs, workforce development, or related program support roles.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with peers and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and ability to manage multiple workstreams.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, with a passion for problem-solving.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence without authority.

  • Curiosity and interest in talent development, internal mobility, workforce planning, or upskilling programs.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management or related area OR 4 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area.
