Profile Summary:

This role is responsible for the enrollment, retention and development of the In Plan Advice product and service offering for the Voya Retirement business.  Expectations will be that these representatives will develop the relationship to include sales, retention and growth of the ongoing client relationship through regular outreach.  The Senior Investment Advisor will work with all levels of plan participants regardless of age, asset size or job status (active and terminated).  

Profile Description:

  • Manage new and ongoing client relationships within the In Plan Advice product suite – this responsibility will be measured through enrollment of new participants, retention metrics and client asset consolidation metrics.  Use of Pro Advisor and other Financial Planning tools is required.
  • Handle transferred inbound calls from the internal business partners to present and transition existing active and separated participants into an actively managed account solution. 
  • Quarterback the delivery of the Voya’s in plan managed account service by providing objective guidance and advice that drives retirement readiness outcomes to plan participants– this responsibility will primarily be measured by customer satisfaction and outcomes as well as sales and retention metrics.
  • Model industry leading sales best practices, share best practices across the organization and remain compliant with fiduciary standards and customer best interest contract delivery.
  • FINRA Delegation of supervisory duties, including but not limited to, team call reviews, huddles, and call escalations.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • College degree is required.  
  • Financial services or related experience of 5+ years is preferred.  
  • Required Licensure will include Series 6 or 7, 63, 65/66, 26 or 24 and an additional recognition (MBA, CFP, CFA or other approved designation) will be supported.  
  • Identified representative will show strong sales and customer relationship experience, a full understanding of retirement and retirement income planning, full adherence to FINRA/DOL fiduciary standards (including delivery of service against those standards) and will be dedicated to delivering an outstanding customer experience with every customer interaction.  
  • Willingness to share best practices, strong work ethic, combination of inbound and outbound calling experience and leadership traits are expected.  
  • Maintains and applies expertise in insurance, securities, investments and related areas in order to provide direction, instruction and guidance to service clients.  
  • Full knowledge and understanding of Voya’s retirement and other investment product offerings is required.  
  • Full knowledge of all Advisory products (Retail and In Plan) as well as Edelman Financial Engines and Morningstar systems/methodology.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
