Sabre is seeking a talented Engineer to support the Sabre Inventory & Availability Team/ Project. This person will report to the Maciej Przybycien
Team/ Project description
The principal reliability engineer focused on cloud development will take on strong technical role in a complex high-performance product that also interacts with several of mission critical products in Sabre.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in migrating and supporting the inventory management application in GCP. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the complete CI/CD pipeline and automated deployment of the application in cloud.
At Sabre, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. In this role you will plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop GCP related scripts to provision the infrastructure for the application.
Work hands on migrating and supporting the application in GCP
Work on the complete CI/CD pipeline for the application
Evaluate the application development and operations to ensure application is optimally deployed and run efficiently in cloud.
Play a key role in current AWS Deployment of the product.
Move the product towards Containerized instances in GKE/GCP.
Have intricate knowledge of all aspects of infrastructure and ensure best choices are made for the product.
Perform High-level root cause analysis of service interruptions.
Help towards documentation of operational aspects of the product.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BE degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
Over 8 Years’ experience in GCP cloud.
4 years of CI/CD experience
Solid experience in Terraform, Jenkins and Ansible
Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of various application stacks.
Experience with virtualization and containerization.
Experience with monitoring systems.
Proven experience in performance analysis of the applications in Linux based environments.
Solid scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell Scripts)
Prior experience in product development is preferred
Must have excellent communication Skills.
Must have experience working with operations and post-production application support for real-time transaction processing products.
