AB Arya Partners (“Arya”) is a separate business unit within AllianceBernstein L.P. (AB). AllianceBernstein is composed of five separate business units. Arya is the firm’s public-market alternatives business, primarily focused on fundamental long/short equity investing. The business is comprised of a global multi-manager hedge fund, as well as several sector- and strategy-specific long-short equity funds.

Group Description:

Asturias Capital LLC (Asturias) is an investment manager, and separate business unit within AB, investing primarily in the global Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors. The fund seeks superior risk-adjusted returns while minimizing correlation to the overall market.

What You'll Do:

Asturias is currently looking to hire a TMT Research Analyst in our New York office. As a TMT focused Research Analyst, you will:

  • Gain insight to the dynamics of working on an equity focused, long/short hedge-fund
  • Apply financial acumen and curiosity to help shape the team’s investment decisions
  • Work side-by-side with a Portfolio Manager/CIO with 20 years of experience and a track record of mentoring and developing team members
  • Acquire expertise working with a Portfolio Manager/CIO who is a seasoned TMT expert and who is responsible for autonomously managing an independent fund on behalf of AB
  • Learn a process driven model for fundamental, in-depth analysis of companies and industries
  • Perform diligent & deep dive fundamental research on a universe of investments
  • Update individual models & research notes on a regular basis in keeping with the investment and compliance process requirements
  • Perform primary research; attend industry events; build relationships with sell-side analysts and research associates
  • Conduct yourself with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity

What We're Looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
  • 3-6 years’ experience within Investment Banking, Hedge Fund, Private Equity or Management Consulting
  • TMT sector experience is preferred, but not required
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent broad-based analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and intellectual maturity
  • Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
  • Genuine desire to be a team player and work in a highly rigorous and collegial environment

In accordance with Section 8-107(32) as set forth in the New York City Human Rights Law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $200,000 to $250,000

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition AB provides a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off
