Security Department

The Security Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so that we can make informed purchase decisions. We are always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance, and cost. Vantage Security Department also participates in designing each of our new data center building’s security infrastructure. If you like getting your hands dirty and helping to design, build and maintain Security infrastructure in a modern data center, then come work at Vantage.  We’re expanding with many new builds!

Essential Job Functions

• Manage local contract security organization

• Manage and coordinate vendor service calls and preventative maintenance inspections

• Train personnel in physical security procedures and use of physical security equipment.

• Prepare, maintain, and update physical security procedures, physical security system drawings or related documentation.

• Monitor and maintain data center's Security systems to ensure that all customer's security needs are met and functional with maximum uptime.

• Enforcing the safety regulations in place at the facility

• Directing, informing, and escorting visitors, customers and suppliers

• Maintain order and prevent undue unrest, offence, or theft of property

• Control access and enforce the facility's internal and outdoor traffic regulations for staff, visitors, users and suppliers, as well as all applicable regulations

• Make periodic rounds (physical and camera) to detect any anomalies

Duties

• Generate reports as needed for VDC Audits and as required by customers.

• Create and modify panel configurations, door contacts/inputs, clearance levels, etc

• Conduct physical security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities related to existing physical security systems.

• Collaborate with other departments during system design, implementation and commissioning of New VDC buildings to ensure projects are completed per VDC standards and all timelines are met.

• Create, Manage and maintain access levels for all Vantage data centers.

• Retrieve video footage as requested or required for legal, law enforcement or operational review.

• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair as needed.

• May perform simple installs and in-house projects, including but not limited to installation, programming and testing of access control, video, intercoms and Key Management System.

• Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

• Update and maintain spare parts using tracking sheet

• Provides technical support to end users and field labor when applicable.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Surveillance System (VSS) required

• 2+ years of experience with Intercom System, Biometric system and Key management system required.

• Experience with Genetec Access Control Systems, Genetec Video Surveillance System is preferred

• Ability to obtain Genetec (SC-STC-001-5.9, SC-OTC-001-5.9, and SC-ETC-001-5.9) within 3 months of hire.

• Experience with Commend Intercom System, Traka Key Control, and Bioconnect is preferred

• Able to plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers.

• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365

•   Fluent in English (oral and written)

• Travel is expected to be less than 25%, but may be higher during construction projects

【主な業務内容】
複数のデータセンター拠点における安全衛生プログラムの実行と継続的改善を主導する。
グローバルおよび地域の安全衛生基準、ポリシー、慣行との整合性を確保する。
運営・建設現場における複雑な監査および点検を主導し、リスクを特定して是正措置を推進する。
緊急事態対応計画および事業継続計画の設計と保守を行う。
安全データシステムを統括し、高度な分析を主導してトレンドを把握し、戦略的意思決定に活かす。
上級経営陣に対して、説得力のあるレポート作成およびプレゼンテーションを実施する。
高度なEHSトピックに関する社内の専門家（SME）およびアドバイザーとして機能する。
部門横断的チームと協力し、リスクの特定と軽減戦略を主導する。
リーダーシップ、トレーニング、およびエンゲージメントを通じて、プロアクティブ（先回り型）な安全文化を社内に浸透させる。

【職務詳細】
EHSパフォーマンス指標のトラッキングと、戦略的改善計画を策定し主導する。
法規制および社内基準の遵守を徹底するため、点検、監査、レビューを主導する。
高度な職場リスク / 曝露評価を実施し、危険防止戦略（ハザードコントロール）を実行する。
複雑なインシデント調査を主導し、体系的な是正措置が確実に実行されるよう管理する。
法規制および社内の安全基準に関する、高度なトレーニングプログラムを設計・提供する。
関連法規の変更や業界の最新ベストプラクティスを解釈し、社内に周知する。
上級経営陣に対し、安全パフォーマンスの最新状況や戦略的な提言を準備し、報告する。
若手・後進のEHS担当者のメンタリングおよび育成を支援する。
その他、マネジメントからの指示に基づき関連業務を遂行する。

【応募要件】

環境、安全衛生（EHS）、または関連する理学・工学分野の学士号をお持ちの方【歓迎】
EHSまたは関連分野における5〜7年程度の実務経験【歓迎】
