xAI is seeking an engaging and professional security champion to support the ongoing growth of the organization’s security program.

 

The Security Supervisor will supervise, organize, and evaluate the work of the security staff. The Supervisor will lead the day-to-day activities of their assigned shift and ensure productivity in alignment with policy and procedure.

 

Reporting to the Security Ops Lead this position will oversee Security Officer operations during the assigned shift.  The role will ensure Security Officer operational efficiency and performance. The role is key in maintaining a proactive, effective, and mission driven xAI security program.

 

This is an in-person role based in Memphis, Tennessee, and may require minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

 

• Oversee Security Officers and on-site security procedures during assigned shift
• Proactively implement and maintain new security policies and procedures
• Provide security guidance and instruction to key stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of security experience with at least two years as a Supervisor
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of military, law enforcement, or emergency response experience
• Up to date security certifications and/or licensing for the US state the position is based in; CPP, PSP or equivalent certifications are a plus
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Experience with access control, surveillance, and other security systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 2+ years experience in emergency response, law enforcement, or the military
• Experience in a Security function managing large sites, corporate, or manufacturing environment is desirable
• CPR/AED Certified

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, when needed.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Position is subject to pre-employment drug screen and random drug and alcohol testing.
• Personal integrity is crucial. This position is expected to maintain operational security and safeguard sensitive information.

 

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Range: $27 - $32  / hr

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at xAI.
