What impact you’ll make: 

 

The HDGT NU ST/HRSG Cost Analyst will be responsible for managing daily activities and process improvement for Cost management (ITO costing, handbook and EAC) for Steam Turbines or Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG). They will work in strong partnership with the ST or HRSG Product Management, EAC, Global Supply Chain and Pivot to Value teams. 

 

The HDGT NU ST/HRSG Cost Analyst will report to the HDGT NU GEN/ST/HRSG Cost Leader, and will be a responsible for setting the handbook on an annual basis, track evolution of actual costs against the handbook (EAC reporting), support ITO quotations, and identify opportunities to reduce product costs working with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and P2V teams. 

 

What you’ll do  

 

  • Lead day to day ITO costing for the Steam Turbines or HRSGs, associated MSD and Requisition Engineering Cost, in close collaboration with the Application Engineering and ITO finance teams. 

  • Support ITO to OTR budget handovers to the factories, sourcing and requisition engineering teams 

  • Lead the quarterly EAC (Estimated at Completion) reviews with the factories for the deals released to OTR and associated EAC submissions and analytics to OTR   

  • Closely monitor upcoming NPI changes affecting the product costing, the quarterly reported actual cost and implemented P2V Cost Out initiatives 

  • Lead and coordinate the annual handbook exercise for Steam Turbine or HRSG Material, Labor, MSD and Requisition Engineering scope  with the different stake-holders: Product Management, Engineering, the factories Materials Management,Costing teams and Sourcing 

  • Ensure alignment with engineering on the handbook AO definition and ensure handbook cost completeness  

  • Prepare comprehensive year over year handbook comparisons and associated senior management reviews  

  • Help lead the recurring Product Cost outlooks throughout the year, with the P2V teams and EAC teams to help support the business cost out targets  

  • Drive continuous lean improvement and process automatization   

 

 

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) 

 

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience  

Relevant Finance, Engineering, or GSC (manufacturing, materials management, sourcing) experience 

  • Strong analytical skills 

Able to influence key finance and operational stakeholders as well as technical teams 

•    Proven experience with working in a global team 

 

What will make you stand out 

 

  • Prior exposure to Steam Turbine or HRSG components and manufacturing process and Bill of Materials (BOMs) 

  • Prior ICS, PLM and SAP PMx experience  

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Proven horizontal leadership, demonstrated with the ability to effectively work with stakeholders and peers across multiple functions 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills 

  • Proven knowledge and application of contemporary analytics tools and methodologies 

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems 

  • GenAI experience
