  • Salary: $76,378.47 –$108,941.55+ super +salary packaging

About the role

  • Performance of laboratory testing operations in an accurate, reliable and timely fashion

  • Maintain all equipment and supplies in the section/laboratory

  • Ensure the clinicians are promptly informed of critical and urgent results

  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of their results

  • Perform tasks to ensure maintenance of Quality System


About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant scientific/technical discipline, with demonstrated experience in method development and validation and hands-on expertise in key analytical platforms (HPLC-UV, UPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS).

  • Proven experience in delivery of pathology laboratory services, including proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems, patient systems, quality control systems, and relevant data/analysis software (e.g. Microsoft Office).

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements in a pathology setting, including work health and safety and privacy obligations.

  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, investigate complex issues, and deliver accurate results within strict timeframes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clinical and laboratory stakeholders, prepare technical reports, interpret and present scientific data, and contribute positively to a team environment aligned with organisational values.
