MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- At least 7 years of professional fundraising experience or professional transferable fundraising and campaign management experience (i.e., managing relationships with required measurable output, making calls, conducting face-to-face appointments, creating, and presenting proposals, and other fundamental elements of client relationship or sales-related activities).
- The ability to activate projects and to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional/cross-departmental team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and see projects through to a timely completion.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of Raisers Edge donor database (preferred).
- Experience with a large complex healthcare organization or higher education.
- Previous experience with capital campaigns, major gift, planned giving, and healthcare philanthropy.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for the strategic planning, management, implementation, and oversight of all OhioHealth Foundation Fundraising Campaign activities, which includes high level project management and collaboration across all levels of OhioHealth and the constituents it serves.
- Works with the Vice President for Philanthropy, OhioHealth Foundation President and Hospital senior leaders, staff in prioritizing fundraising goals and objectives, and schedules to launch the next Campaign.
- Works with Vice President for Philanthropy, OhioHealth Foundation President in identifying and recruiting a Campaign Cabinet.
- Provides leadership and support to the Vice President for Philanthropy, OhioHealth Foundation President the Campaign Chair and Co-Chairs.
- Directs and oversees the development of a Campaign business plan, drives the development of the campaign structure, and directs the processes and metrics that will lead to a successful comprehensive campaign.
- Supports campaign engagement with advisory committees and care-site development boards serving and in specific research and clinical areas.
- Manages information sharing, transparency, coordination, and collaboration among OhioHealth Foundation colleagues and across the health system.
- Provides strategic direction for regular, internal Campaign Planning Meetings, budget, timeline, and master campaign calendar. Represents the Brigham at hospital-wide campaign and development events.
- Maintains a personal portfolio of major gift donor prospects.
60% Campaign Management
- Responsible for the strategic planning, management, implementation, and oversight of all OhioHealth Foundation Fundraising Campaign activities, which includes high level project management and collaboration across all levels of OhioHealth and the constituents it serves.
- Works closely with the VP for Philanthropy and VP for Operations & External Affairs on all Campaign details related to major donors, and corporate and foundation supporters.
- Acts as a primary partner to Foundation marketing and communications team in shaping, supporting, and sharing OhioHealth’s story, and in the development of campaign branding, marketing, and advertising materials.
- Counsels Donor Relations and Stewardship team on stewardship activities related to campaign giving including recognition strategies, gift reports, acknowledgment letters, publications, naming opportunities including standards and process for naming recognition, milestone celebrations (dedications, groundbreakings, etc.).
- Collaborates with colleagues in Foundation Operations (Prospect Research, and Gift Administration, and Finance,) to track Campaign progress, prepare budgets, quarterly reports, development plans, pipeline reports and other forecasts.
40% Direct Fundraising
- The Director will play a leading role as part of a fundraising team, in efforts to increase support for system priorities, and other funding needs of strategic and emerging importance to OhioHealth.
- Identify, qualifies, and cultivate and solicits a portfolio of prospective major gift donors, grateful patient, and community prospects.
- Identify & engage and cultivate & solicit prospective donors.
- Meet or exceed annual fundraising productivity and activity metrics as defined in collaboration with OhioHealth Foundation leadership.
- Actively participate in OhioHealth Foundation fundraising activities and events.
- Detailed understanding of development in a complex environment, including analyzing and interpreting data to drive and assess campaign strategies.
