Physical Therapy Supervisor – Westchester – Days shifts In-patient

At NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients. The therapist assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within their capabilities.

Assists the Physical Therapy leadership team in the management and supervision of Physical Therapy services and programs in accordance with patient needs, professional standards and established procedures. Recruits, interviews and recommends to the Physical Therapy leadership team new staff for the service, orients and trains new employees. Appraises work performance of Physical Therapists and P.T. Techs and recommends personnel action to the Physical Therapy leadership team. Investigates the need for education in Physical Therapy procedures in other departments of the hospital or other educational programs and provides an educational program in Physical Therapy for students from affiliating universities, as required; makes recommendations to the Physical Therapy leadership team on research activities; organizes and institutes studies as approved.

This is a full-time day shift position at our in-patient location from Monday – Friday between 6:30am-2:30pm with occasional weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

· Master’s Degree

Required Criteria

· Five years’ work-related experience

· Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy

· Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

· Knowledge of providing direct physical therapy patient care to pediatric, adolescent, young adult, adult and geriatric patients

· Current NYS PT licensure

· Knowledge in Physical Therapy and Supervisory skills

Salary Range:

$142,100-$168,000/Annual
