Your role and responsibilities

ABB as a global leader in power and automation technologies, is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team in Motion Service division, in Riga.

 

In this role you will be providing exceptional service, solving technical challenges, and ensuring safety in the workplace in Latvia.

The work model for the role is: onsite #LIonsite

• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ABB equipment and systems

• Conduct troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime

• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions

• Provide training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance

• Document service activities, including reports and recommendations for improvement

• Visit customer sites, to deliver on-site service and support

 

Qualifications for the role

• Relevant education and/or experience in a field

• Desire to learn new things and develop in different directions

• Good communication skills in Latvian and English. ABB is a multinational company and the English language is important for reading manuals and cooperating with colleagues abroad.

• Willingness to travel frequently within Riga, and occasionally to other locations in Latvia

• Driving license to visit customer objects

While the base salary is based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, it starts at 1800 EUR.
