Transform your career as Operations Manager for the Food and Nutrition Department at New York’s #1 hospital. Be the face of an award-winning team, recently recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) for our colleague education efforts. In this role, you’ll ensure stellar service for patients, employees and visitors. You’ll supervise food product development, preparation and distribution, and plan campus-wide nutritional activities. Manage and motivate a talented team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent time management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to handle pressure and meet deadlines. They will be results-oriented with strong follow-through, able to resolve problems and conflicts effectively, and capable of relating to all levels of the organization's departments.

This position is located at NYP/Columbia Medical Center in Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food Administration, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Healthcare experience.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary operation and materials management.

Required Criteria

  • 5-7 years experience in managing professional and service employees.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and therapeutic aspects of food, nutrition, and food service administration.
  • Ability to work rotating weekends.
  • Ability to direct and supervise a large dietary service operation.
