The key role will be primarily focused on the technical aspects of the WallStreet application, also including some interfacing systems (WallStreet consists of both the Front Office and Back Office). The role involves ensuring that solutions built and configured by the team are fit for purpose in a highly complex reconciliation solution.

WallStreet Engineering team is a group of specialist engineers that build and deliver services for the Global Markets business – particularly in Foreign Exchange, Money Markets. The team is highly agile and ensures that solutions adhere to enterprise standards.
This position represents a key Platform Engineering role for a team supporting CBA’s Foreign Exchange (Front Office and Back Office) application WallStreet, the team delivers complex solutions ensuring the applications are enhanced, bug fixes and available.
The role requires direct regular interaction with the broader WallStreet Engineering teams including the teams Engineering Manager in Sydney well as with WallStreet Technical Support team members based in both Sydney and Bangalore. Other relationships will vary depending on specific tasks of the role but are likely to include EMs and Managers across Global Markets from both the business and Technology who are engaged in project delivery and/or performance reporting, as well as dev team members from downstream teams.
Core Responsibilities but not limited to:
Ensure the WSS Production Environment is available (including DR) and lower Environments where required.
Maintain the WSS environment in line with vulnerability updates.
Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements. (Automation of process and improvements)
Collaborate with upstream and downstream team to ensure end-to-end flows and trade lifecycle.
Provide technical support to the WSS FX application (And any in house integrated systems)
Participate in release management and change review.

Have stable and relevant work history in financial services
Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:
Electronic trading knowledge and experience
FX Trading flows and operation of a trading desk
Experience with FX trading, Payments and Settlement
Foreign Exchange, Money Markets and Fixed Income products knowledge is highly desirable
Environment Management (Prod, DR and Test environment maintenance) exp is highly desirable
Experience in building test automation frameworks
SQL Skills (Advanced) and Unix/Linux scripting
Experience with WallStreet or similar FX application
Experience using Automated testing such as SmartBear or UFT is desirable
Practical coding skills in at least 3 of the following: UNIX shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, XSLT, Python and Perl.
Working experience with CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jira, Teamcity, Artificatory, etc.
Job Scheduling (Crontab and Autosys) exp is desirable
Server Patching (Vulnerability Management) exp is desirable
Experience with Database schemas (including joins and linkages between DB’s)
Familiarity with application monitoring (ITRS, Splunk or something similar)
