Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Inpatient Psychiatry - Days

​The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will be a member of the Internal Medicine Service and will provide clinical care to patents on one of several Specialty Psychiatric Inpatient Units and perform history and physical exams in the Admissions Office. The FNP will manage acute and chronic medical comorbidities for adults on the psychiatric inpatient units.  The FNP will work with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and Social Workers, that works to innovate and improve care. This is a full-time day shift position, Monday - Friday.

Preferred Criteria

  • Previous inpatient RN and /or NP psychiatric experience is desirable

Required Criteria

  • Master's degree in nursing

  • Current New York State License as Nurse Practitioner

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License

  • National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice

  • Basic Life Support Certification for all Nurse Practitioners who provide direct patient care

  • Must possess ability to work autonomously, collaborating with physician, peers and others in the health care community

Salary Range:

$140,500-$172,500/Annual
