KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Reporting

  • Support in completion of the following:
    • OneStream
    • P&L and Cash Flow
    • Budget Tracker
    • Business Reviews
  • Preparation of ALL month end schedules to support the Financial Statement
  • Prepares all periodic and ad-hoc reports within agreed quality and delivery standards, ensuring both timeliness and accuracy.

Pricing and Costing

  • Prepare Pricing Scenarios for new and existing clients.
  • Prepare ALL Airlines Master Price List
  • Cost of Sales Computation

Cost Management

  • Monitor and document actual costs  versus budgeted costs
  • Examine data to help with reducing costs in all operations.
  • Give suggestions for money-saving strategies

Cash Flow

  • Tracking inventory spend by supplier on a weekly basis and submit to management for review
  • Monitor supplier purchases against credit limit/ credit terms

Fixed Asset Management

  • Coordinate the Fixed Asset Count, Useful life review and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register

Internal Audit

  • Support closure of all Management Letter points
  • Preparation of the GEL Internal Audit Reports and GCG Statutory Obligation Reports
  • Execution of quarterly compliance checks (mini audits) 
  • Maintenance of the Insurance Register

Records Management

  • Filing ALL Budgeting and Controlling documents
  • Electronic filing System is maintained.

Oversight

  • Support of Accounts Officer towards the attainment of departmental goals and objectives. Including:
  • Editing of all AP and AR batches and adjusting journals
  • Responsible for the safety of all employees under their charge inclusive of safety procedures, safety conditions and equipment and PPE. 
  • Enforce all safety rules and regulations inclusive of HACCP and Food Safety and Hygiene.

  • ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree in a related field and completed foundation and intermediate stages in ACCA (completed Level II) or CIMA (completed Level III).
  • 5 years’ work experience in a similar position
  • Advanced level user of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP will be considered an asset
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, Taxation and Financial Statement Preparation
  • Good working knowledge of International Accounting Standards
