Job Description:

Performs and guides approved self-initiated or assigned programs of major importance to the assigned organization leading to and/or supporting innovative applications and extensions of new and existing technologies, products and/or businesses.

Driving Product Development and Commercialization 

Participate as a team member in development projects across various divisions, leading product development, evaluations, and technology development towards realization.

• Participate in cross-functional teams, leading the development of processes and materials for product development for product development, evaluation, and commercialization.
• Deepen your expertise and strengthen process and material technologies by gaining development experience while engaging with 3M Technology platform, contributing to the business.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Master's degree or higher in science or engineering.
• Knowledge and experience in films & adhesives development, and related evaluation skills for product and process development.
• Communication skills in both English and Japanese.
• Ability to lead projects and proactively take action to solve problems.
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to plan experiments, analyze data, and summarize and report results.
• Presentation skills to report on project progress and outcomes.

Additional Knowledge and Experience, Nice-to-have Skills and Behavior

• Experience in technically leading projects and achieving productization or technology development.
• Ability to listen to various opinions and respond flexibly and quickly.
• Understanding organizational directions and thinking about and taking actions to contribute.
