Summary of Job Duties:

The Manager of Medical Assets plays a key leadership role in supporting the strategic planning, capital budgeting, procurement, and lifecycle management of medical equipment and technology across UAMS Health. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the organization’s capital asset strategy while playing a vital leadership role in managing service agreements for the fleet of medical assets that cannot be serviced through in-house Clinical Engineering preventive maintenance and repairs.

The Manager collaborates closely with clinical departments, facilities management, finance, procurement, and executive leadership to identify, prioritize, acquire, track, and optimize capital assets. This role focuses on the full lifecycle of medical assets from needs assessment and capital planning through procurement, service agreement oversight, asset tracking, and total cost of ownership analysis, to optimize value, ensure regulatory compliance, control costs, and support high-quality patient care delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' experience in healthcare administration, project management and/or business operations OR High School 9 years' experience in healthcare administration, project management and/or business operations.
