Position Details
The Buyer has a highly visible and critical role within our organization. This position will have the primary responsibility of gathering quotes from vendors, processing PO requests from across the company, and ensuring that the right materials are delivered to the right place, at the right time, in the right amount. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
Follow purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices as instructed.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures by coworkers requesting material purchases.
Maintain an approved/preferred supplier list.
Achieves stretch goals by developing mechanisms that will drive change and process improvements.
Drives Productivity by actively engaging stakeholders to both understand and eliminate barriers.
Communicates key learnings and best practices to multiple layers throughout the network.
Responsible for resolving customer issues, internal and external.
Coordinates activities with other departments either internal or external (e.g. suppliers, transportation, etc.).
Qualifications:
College degree in Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related field.
Minimum 2 years experience in Purchasing.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong experience with MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Decision Quality & Problem Solving through innovation, creative thinking, challenging the status quo, questioning nature.
Customer focus, accountability, and the ability to overcome obstacles.
Conflict Management and the use of influencing and adaptability skills (i.e., relationship building, consensus building, flexibility).
Experience in the telecom industry strongly preferred.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:
