TITLE: Software Engineer 

 

Salary: $185,000/yr - $203,000/yr 

 

Location: 660 Market Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94104; Must appear in office at least three (3) days per week; WFH permissible two (2) days per week. 

 

Job Description: Work hands-on with a highly skilled team of Engineers and Product Managers to ideate, build, and improve payment products and features Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Design, and Operations teams. Think through customer's pain points and requirements and to come up with a simple, elegant solutions. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and release. Share knowledge and drive best practices across the Engineering teams through answering queries, writing articles and doing presentations. Design and build scalable payment products that process large-scale financial transactions in a safe and secure way. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Operations teams. Think through the customer's pain points and requirements and to come up with a simple, elegant solution. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and release. Participate in on-call rotation to keep Boku production system running smoothly. Debug production issues across services and several layers of the stack. Interface directly with our clients and merchants, which sometimes required travel, to provide technical guidance and assistance. Share knowledge and drive best practices across the Engineering teams through answering queries, writing articles, and doing presentations. Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, process, and culture. Must appear in office at least three (3) days per week; WFH permissible two (2) days per week. 

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, or related field and four (4) years of experience in Software Engineering or in the job offered or related role.

  1. Distributed System and Microservices; 

      2. Database Design and Systems; 

      3. API (Application Programming Interface) Design using Postman; 

      4. Web Development using any of the following web technologies such as HTML, Angular.js, Vue.js, Typescript, JavaScript, or CSS; 

      5. Third-party integration with REST, SOAP, SMPP; 

      6. Agile Software Development Methodology to collaborate with stakeholders; and 

      7. Unix-derived operating systems.
