Respiratory Homecare Solutions (RHS Canada) is an accredited, Canadian health care company that delivers premium health care services to treat sleep apnea and oxygen patients. RHS offers patient education, sleep apnea testing, CPAP treatment, long-term support and home oxygen therapy. RHS Canada is currently recruiting for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to support the Calgary offices. This position is responsible for assisting and managing clients with a wide range of respiratory disorders. This includes ensuring their health care needs are met and appropriate sleep and/or oxygen therapies are provided and provincial funding in place where required.

  •  Participation in after-hours call may be required in certain branch locations and on-going customer service in all situations, in and around Calgary.

  • Maintaining professionalism and ongoing relationships with our referral sources is a key part of this position.

  • Oxygen Therapists are also responsible for administering oxygen therapy to patients who have difficulty breathing. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. They are responsible for monitoring patients' oxygen levels and adjusting the therapy as needed to ensure that the patient is receiving the appropriate amount of oxygen. Oxygen Therapists may also be responsible for educating patients and their families about the therapy, including how to use and care for oxygen equipment.

  • Assess clients, perform new oxygen and respiratory equipment starts

  • Provide equipment as per physician orders

  • Plan daily and weekly servicing, set ups and in-house work around existing schedules

  • Ensure up-to-date servicing, maintain client oxygen authorizations and funding as per provincial regulations (Alberta Aids for Daily Living)

  • Participate in on-call schedule where applicable

  • Ensure that all contact with clients is accurately charted in a timely manner

  • Provide client education and training on safety related issues as part of delivery of service for all clients.

  • Responsible to help create and maintain a safe work environment.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Active registration with the applicable regulatory body such as College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta

  • BLS/CPR certification

  • Knowledge of AADL funding, and private insurance are considered as assets

  • Ability to work in a team, and independently.

  • Valid class 5 Alberta Driver's license with good driver's abstract.
