Senior Manager, Women’s Sports & Portfolio Innovation

Location: Chevy Chase, MD / New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

GEICO is seeking a Senior Manager, Women’s Sports & Portfolio Innovation to join our Sports & Experiential Marketing Center of Excellence. This is a new, pivotal leadership role responsible for building GEICO’s dedicated Women’s Sports strategy and redesigning our long-lead sponsorship portfolio roadmap. This role is not about maintaining the status quo; it is about disrupting it. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of GEICO’s brand presence by building and transforming our go-to-market strategy within women’s sports and emerging/long-lead partnership opportunities. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, possessing a passion for connecting with audiences through culture sports, and, and high-impact partnerships. You will be tasked with identifying, pitching, and executing differentiated activations that drive brand love and business growth, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Media, Creative, Communications, Product Marketing, State Management, and Analytics to ensure seamless, data-driven execution.

Our department’s hybrid model is 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility. Corporate offices are in Bethesda, MD (greater DC) and Manhattan, NY. This role reports into the Sr. Director, Sports & Experiential Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect GEICO’s Women's Sports Playbook with ownership across the vision, design, launch and execution of our Women’s Sports strategy. Create purpose-driven, high-impact partnerships that resonate with diverse audiences and drive measurable brand lift
  • Ensure Women’s Sports partnerships are deeply integrated across GEICO’s external marketing ecosystem and local marketing efforts, as well as its internal associate engagement strategies
  • Lead the ideation and execution for groundbreaking and high-impact, consumer-focused campaigns across Women’s Sports; shape authentic brand storytelling that elevates athletes, fans, and the brand
  • Cultivate premier partnerships by serving as the primary steward and relationship lead for key Women’s Sports sponsorships and talent agreements, ensuring that contractual obligations are met while maximizing ROI
  • Monitor the Women’s Sports ecosystem – from league expansion to new ownership models to media platforms – to proactively position GEICO ahead of the market
  • Build a multi-year portfolio innovation roadmap that balances foundation partnerships with emerging opportunities and future-forward bets. Includes anticipating rights cycles (IP/media), growth curves, and emerging technology
  • Establish clear investment guardrails, workflows, and decision frameworks to guide portfolio growth
  • Translate long-range strategy into annual planning, activation roadmaps, and budget requirements – serve as a strategic advisor to our leadership team, articulating portfolio strategy, trade-offs, and growth opportunities
  • Create a disciplined test-and-scale framework to pilot new leagues, formats, platforms, and talent – with the ability to rapidly expand what’s working

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience across a combination of sports and experiential marketing – includes strategic and landscape expertise across both traditional and non-traditional Women’s Sports partnerships, with the ability to activate at both the local and national levels
  • Experience managing long and short-term brand/talent ambassador deals from ideation to execution
  • Proven ability to build and manage multi-year sponsorship portfolios at scale
  • Experience managing and partnering with multiple external agencies and internal cross-functional partners across sports, experiential, media, analytics and creative
  • Ability to operationalize GEICO’s sports and marketing practice – redesigning more efficient processes, workflows, and communications
  • A detail-oriented individual with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with competing deadlines


 

Annual Salary

$121,975.00 - $189,625.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
