About Skyscanner
Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That’s why we’ve spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.
Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that’s striving to become the planet’s go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.
Our vision? To be the world’s number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that’s what got us here)
About the role
This is a great deal for someone eager to start or advance their career in IT operations by making sure our workspace technology runs like a dream (or at least doesn’t have nightmares). Based in our Shenzhen office, this role requires regular onsite presence to support the business and keep our people productive, connected, and smiling.
You’ll be the local owner of OSM IT services in Shenzhen, working closely with colleagues both locally and across our global IT community to deliver reliable, high-quality support where it matters most: day-to-day life at Skyscanner.
What you’ll be doing
Owning local OSM services: You’ll take responsibility for IT operations in the Shenzhen office, partnering with global teammates to keep standards high and issues low.
Being the first friendly face of IT: Acting as first point of contact for IT issues, providing hands-on desktop support and troubleshooting with a calm, can-do approach.
Supporting collaboration tools: You’ll manage and support tools like Slack, Zoom and Miro, helping teams stay connected and productive.
Keeping connectivity flowing: Troubleshooting basic network and connectivity issues so meetings start on time and calls don’t mysteriously drop.
Powering workspace tech: Ensuring meeting rooms, Townhalls, office screens and event spaces are fully functional and ready to impress.
Managing access & systems: Looking after office display screens and the Kisi door access system so people get where they need to go (and only where they should).
Nailing onboarding & assets: Configuring laptops and mobile devices, delivering engaging Day 1 IT inductions, and helping new starters hit the ground running.
About you
Customer-first: You bring great customer service skills and genuinely enjoy helping others get back to doing their best work.
Calm under pressure: You’re comfortable working independently, juggling priorities, and keeping a cool head when things get busy.
Collaborative by nature: You work well with local teams and global colleagues, communicating clearly and openly.
Eager to learn: You bring a growth mindset and a real desire to develop your skills and build a career in IT operations.
Positive & proactive: You’ve got a “can-do” attitude and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
Technically curious: You have a solid foundation in IT systems and love problem-solving, even when the issue is “it was working five minutes ago.”
Automation-minded: You’re interested in engineering efficient solutions and automating where possible - not just fixing the same thing twice.
