What this opportunity involves:

Join JLL as a Senior Finance Manager and lead a dynamic team while partnering with property managers to deliver exceptional financial services to our local and international clients. This is an exciting opportunity to manage property accounting for a diverse portfolio of Australian-based assets while driving team performance and client satisfaction.

You will be based in JLL’s corporate office in Sydney CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3-4 Portfolio Accountants, setting performance goals and providing mentoring and coaching
  • Deliver comprehensive financial reports for property portfolios and liaise with property managers for month-end reporting
  • Process and approve journal entries, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and IFRS rent smoothing journals
  • Conduct annual tenant outgoing recovery reconciliations and assist with budget and forecast preparation
  • Act as key finance business partner with JLL Property Managers and ensure compliance with Trust Accounting policies
  • Liaise with client finance teams, support annual audit processes, and prepare 6-monthly internal audit checklists
  • Transition new properties into portfolios and manage property cessations at relevant times
  • Drive team efficiencies, deliver monthly finance training sessions, and promote cross-learning opportunities

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related disciplines
  • Achievement of professional qualification (CA / CPA)  
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role / capacity ideally in Commercial Real Estate industry
  • Experience using MRI or other asset management software will be preferred, but not essential
  • Experience in leading / managing / coaching team member(s) is essential
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks with competing deadlines
