The Reconciliations Sr Analyst will be responsible for the reconciliation and investigation of cash and ledger exceptions related to LMA Lending Operations. The focus initially will be fee related but will encompass other breaks relating to the balance sheet.
This is a role for a seasoned professional with a knowledge of the loans market but more importantly extensive experience of cash break investigations.
The specialist will liaise with Settlements teams, Counterparties, Agent banks and various internal departments to ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve cash exceptions and payable/receivable items
Escalating control gaps and issues to senior management
Build relationships throughout the business to establish a peer network
Resolving complex problems where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of loan procedures and industry standards
Seek to improve operational procedures and controls within the group
Identify weakness, articulate these, and suggest solutions
Qualifications:
5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably experience of Lending Operations reconciliations or settlements
Reasonable knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process
Demonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services as well as managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation
Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills
Adequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
