JOB PURPOSE:  To lead end to end logistics operations for Structures Factory in RIOP Thiruvallur.

 

 

JOB DUTIES:  Assists the factory manager, who is responsible for to end to end operations of structures factory ( Fabrication and painting of all product lines)  in RIOP Thiruvallur to meet business goals and achieve profitability objectives. Leads warehouse operations ensuring operation requirements are achieved or exceeded.  Manages warehouse operations to maximize layout, processes and culture related to receiving, storing, order filling, packing, shipping, quality control, inventory counts, etc.

 

Serves as liaison to facility operations management and supply base to create flow in material, process and information. Leads continuous improvement initiatives for warehousing processes and implements new systems/processes.

 

Communicates and maintains a culture of open relationships with associates.  Assists supervisors in answering associate concerns/complaints.  Determines and implements staffing levels for assignment completion.  Participates in recruiting and screening routines for new employees.  Assures employees are thoroughly trained in processes and business practices/policies.  Reporting to this position are logistics engineers and technicians

 

Supports production planning control of structures factory operations with necessary scheduled to supply base. Take responsibility for driving agility and flexibility in our production system with focus areas of OIAs.

 

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:  Requires graduate engineers with around 10 years of experience in manufacturing execution and all aspects of warehouse operations including previous staff and supervisory experience.  Must have the ability to work with material management systems, analytical skills and  communication
