At Boku, we're powering payments for some of the world's leading digital brands. As we continue to scale globally, we're looking for an experienced payments operations leader to drive operational excellence, automation, and innovation across our settlements and payment operations function.

This is an opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives that improve how payments move across our global network while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Commercial and Compliance teams to deliver scalable, efficient operations.

What you'll do

  • Lead global payment operations across settlements, reconciliations and payment processing.
  • Drive automation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and strengthen operational controls.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support new payment methods, merchant onboarding and market launches.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise operational processes and help shape future operating models.
  • Build strong relationships with payment partners, financial institutions and internal stakeholders.
  • Champion operational excellence, governance and continuous improvement across the payments lifecycle.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a confident, hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex operational challenges and driving meaningful change.

You'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in payment operations, settlements and reconciliations.
  • A strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including digital wallets, local payment methods and alternative payment networks.
  • Experience leading automation or operational transformation initiatives.
  • The ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and delivering scalable solutions.
