McKesson is seeking a Principal Engineer of Identity and Access Management (as both visionary leader and hands-on builder), who is highly attuned to the technical realities of building and operating scalable, highly regulated IAM systems for services and data.  The IAM Principal Engineer may be asked to venture beyond comfortable approaches to pioneer new spaces and inspire/coach others as to what’s possible.  This individual should have strong technical judgment and influential skills to facilitate discussions for business-critical designs.  This individual should also be able to provide both architectural guidance and detailed technical direction while nurturing a continuous delivery culture.

As an IAM Principal you will:

  • Serve as a technical leader with demanding, cross-functional projects.

  • Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.

  • Work on unusually complex and sensitive problems and provides state-of-the art solutions that are highly creative. 
  • Use independent judgement to accomplish objectives.  Handle projects with a long-term focus.
  • Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
  • Balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in an engineering, development, security, or related IT field.
  • 5+ years of architecture, solution delivery, and/or DevSecOps experience.

Critical Skills:

  • 8+ years in one of the following: cybersecurity/information security/software development/infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience in IAM services, security engineering, software development, DevOps, other IT, and/or technical risk management
  • Strong knowledge/expertise in implementing Cloud identity solutions for various cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Experience with compliance regulations/laws, security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO, COBIT, OWASP, ITIL, FedRamp, GDPR, etc.).
  • Ability to exercise and mentor others on engineering and architecture areas.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare, distribution, or software industries is a plus.
  • Experience with law enforcement, defense, or intelligence community a plus
  • Ability to integrate various security and data protection technologies and controls into a cohesive architecture that sufficiently mitigates risk.
  • Understands and has knowledge of risk areas including regulatory, operational, information, technology risk.
  • Good knowledge of information, application, and infrastructure security control mechanisms
  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to ensure IT security program compliance.
  • Ability to drive synergies and partnerships across business units at the enterprise level.

Education:

  • 4-year degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field), or equivalent experience

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$181,300 - $302,100
